HellVault: Powered by VFX
Creator, Designer, Producer and DirectorHellVault is a live haunted attraction, escape room, and feature film series designed to become a living showroom where original products, effects, characters, props, sound systems, lighting designs, scenic pieces, and themed entertainment ideas can be tested and experienced in a real attraction environment. A prop sitting on a table is one thing. A prop inside a dark, fog-filled, story-driven haunted attraction is something else entirely. HellVault functions as an attraction, a brand, a filmable environment, a product demo space, a content engine, and a proof-of-concept platform for future themed entertainment ideas. Production 2027.
VFX Creates
Web Developer, Content Producer, Creative CollaboratorVFX Creates is an independent LLC owned and operated by Patrick Voss, a practical effects artist and creative collaborator. James builds and maintains the VFX Creates website, produces videos and instructional content, and works alongside Patrick on product development through the broader ecosystem. VFX Creates is the public-facing marketplace for original props, haunted attraction products, themed entertainment pieces, and special effects items rooted in real production experience. Through the HellVault partnership, VFX Creates has a live testing ground and showcase environment where products can be demonstrated in a real attraction setting.
Extinction Labs
Extinction Labs is a themed product and experimental effects brand sold exclusively through VFX Creates. The brand focuses on original, film-quality and attraction-quality products for haunted houses, escape rooms, themed venues, film productions, events, and collectors. Built around a science-fiction, laboratory, containment, and high-impact visual storytelling aesthetic, Extinction Labs fills the gap between generic Halloween props and expensive custom scenic fabrication. AI plays an active role in product development, engineering, software design, and research, bringing a rare mix of traditional practical effects craft and modern technology into one creative product line.
Denver Prop Masters
Props, fabrication, behind-the-scenes builds, templates, and practical creative production. Denver Prop Masters focuses on the hands-on world of props, scenic pieces, fabrication, and creative problem-solving. It serves as both a credibility brand and a content engine for people who want to understand how things are made. The market values authenticity. Haunted attraction owners, filmmakers, creators, and collectors want to know that the people behind a product actually understand materials, tools, deadlines, finishes, durability, and real-world use. Denver Prop Masters shows that this is not just a design idea. It is hands-on creative work.
Blackstone Sound
Blackstone Sound is an audio, lighting, fog, atmosphere, and show-control brand sold exclusively through VFX Creates. More than a sound company, Blackstone is actively developing new technology and software for haunted attractions, escape rooms, themed entertainment, and live environments. Sound, lighting, fog, actor controls, triggers, and show timing are what separate a static prop from a complete immersive experience. AI drives the research, engineering, and product development behind Blackstone, merging traditional audio and lighting technology with modern tools to create systems built specifically for the themed entertainment industry.
Creative Freak Studios

Creative Freak Studios connects film production, media, design, audio, fabrication, storytelling, product development, haunted entertainment, and creative business strategy into one working system. Creative Freak Studios connects those lanes into a larger platform for building original entertainment products, media, and experiences. A personal stewardship project with deep roots in radio history. James collaborated with Dave Nutter, a Wyoming radio legend who started his career at age 13 and has spent decades keeping the KATI legacy alive. KATI lives on today as KAT Country in St. Louis. This project represents the kind of work that exists outside commercial categories but matters for the right reasons. Community, history, and the people who dedicate their lives to keeping something real.
